This freestanding wall unit exemplifies industrial design at its finest, featuring five sections that incorporate 12 shelves, a versatile drop-down desk or storage cubby, a three-drawer case, and a closet, all pieces are interchangeable.
Created by the acclaimed design trio BBPR—Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso, Enrico Peressutti, and Ernesto Nathan Rogers—this unit received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro prize in 1962.
Material and Condition:
Constructed from powder-coated metal, the inside door and dropdown desk panels have lock handles and are vinyl lined the unit is in very good vintage condition. The black metal components exhibit an aged patina with minor rust residue, while the powder-coated surfaces show scuffs and scratches consistent with age and use, presenting well overall.
