White oak desk original commissioned for Gannett Company. The solid horseshoe shaped top mimics old copy desks. It features three drawers two file sized with sorters at both ends and a center pencil drawer. Marked Castle’s carved signature and date (WC76). This commission for Castle won a prestigious award and at the time was Castle’s most important to date.
