AMERICANA / Industrial Design of the 1940’s
CONVERSO has found the perfect partner for the presentation of this collection in USM Haller, whose modular system of storage and shelving has found its way into many major museums for the display of objects and collections.
Converso is pleased to present large bell assemblages and speculative plans for asteroid colonies from the archives of Arcosanti, a prototype city/arcology conceived by Paolo Soleri in the early 1970's and under continuous construction in the Sonoran desert of northern Arizona.
Inaugural Award for Best Gallery Presentation
Converso's booth was designed by famed NYC decorator Billy Cotton, who took inspiration from Borsani’s archival works to create an immersive living room inside the CONVERSO booth, with pink stucco walls, tiled floors and a Lucio Fontana-insipired fireplace.
