Philippe Starck Three Leg Lounge Chairs
Pair of Lounges Designed by Starck for Aleph Pratfall Easy Chair. Black lacquered steel frame with a bent ply-wood back body,black lacquered,leather cushion,made in Italy. Philippe Starck was born in Paris in 1949. He won the La Vilette furniture competition in 1965 and was commissioned in 1968 by L. Venturi and later Quasar to create designs for inflatable furniture.Later he founded one of the first companies to start producing this type of furniture.In 1969 he was Art Director of the Pierre Cardin studio where he designed 65 pieces of furniture.After he start his own company.In 1986 he became a visiting lecturer at the Domus Academy in Milan.
