Clyde Burt Ceramic Wall Art

Abstract wall tile no.38

Clyde Burt (1922-1981) emerged as major voice in post war studio ceramics at a time when the American Midwest was a creative hub exploding with industry and blown by international aesthetic cross currents powered by the likes of Mies van Der Rohe, Elliel Saarinen, and in ceramics, Burt’s mentor at Cranbrook, Maija Grotell.
