Notes
An important and large-scale example of Otto Natzler’s crater glaze at its most expressive, combining a pale green ground with deep black volcanic apertures. The surface presents a dynamic interplay of pooled glaze, crater formations, and tonal variation—hallmarks of the Natzlers’ most sought-after works of the 1950s. The scale, exhibition history, and direct provenance from the artists’ collection further distinguish this example.
