Inaugural Award for Best Gallery Presentation

For Design Miami’s fifteenth edition, Los Angeles and Chicago-based gallery CONVERSO presented a suite of previously unseen prototypes by Osvaldo Borsani, including work made in collaboration with his daughter Valeria.

The booth was designed by famed NYC designer Billy Cotton, who took inspiration from Borsani’s archival works to create an immersive living room inside the CONVERSO booth, with pink stucco walls, tiled floors and a Lucio Fontana-insipired fireplace.

The striking booth won Design Miami’s inaugural Best Gallery Presentation, as selected by a panel of judges and design experts for the prestigious Design Miami/ award.

Collaborating with Cotton puts CONVERSO at the forefront of a new wave of galleries reinventing the gallery booth to become an extension of the exhibited works, inside.
